In today's ever changing e-commerce marketplace businesses, large and small, need to make changes to continue to grow successfully. In this series, I'll share three reasons why Amazon FBA should be part of your business plan whether you are a seasoned e-commerce seller or new to online selling.
Reason #1: Amazon FBA Changes Your Focus
If you sell on or are considering selling on, most e-commerce sites (eBay, Etsy, Bonanza or your own e-commerce website) then your business is focused on customer management – negative feedback, customer returns, complaints about shipping times, the list goes on…. These are the aspects of your business that you are forced to focus on on a daily basis to make sure that your business continues to be successful.
Using Amazon FBA as your sales platform allows your business to become more focused on product management than customer management. Amazon handles customer complaints and returns along with shipping and storing your product. While some customer interaction is required – answering product questions and responding to customer messages – you will be able to focus on finding in-demand products, sourcing strategies, and product development.
It's a win-win for the customer. They get excellent customer service from a team of representatives who's sole purpose is to help them. They also end up with a better catalog of products to buy from because your business is able to focus on bringing those products to market.
